Wellness

The wellness model has been incorporated to improve the quality of life of the student athletes through the access to primary healthcare. It creates a holistic approach in monitoring student athletes for optimal performance.

Richard Pybus

DIRECTOR OF CRICKET

Richard Pybus is a multiple championship-winning coach. As head coach, he took Pakistan to the final of the 50 over World Cup in 1999. As the Performance Director for West Indies Cricket, he led them to three T20 World Cup titles in 2016.

Faiek Davids

CRICKET COACH

Faiek Davids is a former first class South African cricketer and rugby player with an impressive coaching career that spans 16 years. He was the Western Province Amateur Club Head Coach from 2012 to 2016 and thereafter appointed as Cape Cobras Assistant Coach until 2021. Faiek takes on the role of second team coach at UWC Cricket.

Lusindiso Maliwana

CRICKET COACH

Lusindiso Maliwana is a former Western Province U16 coach - his role was to identify young cricketers and develop them. He was Head Coach at the Samora Machel Cricket Club as well as Head Coach for WP U15B and Assistant Coach for WP U17A in 2014 to 2015. Lusindiso has now joined UWC Cricket as Head Coach of the Women's Team.

Stephen Jones

TALENT IDENTIFICATION MANAGER

Stephen Jones made his first-class debut for Western Province under Eddie Barlow. He then coached Border, Namibia, SA Women, and SA A. After which he left for Harrow School in London for 15 years, before finally settling back in Cape Town.
